Several clients have reported receiving an HTTP 500 error (it may read "Null Pointer Exception") when they launch the browser following an update. Users may also receive a prompt to download Java.
This can occur if a user updates their client application prior to updating the Scheduler.

To resolve it, you can run a few simple queries against your CompuSoft database. Users will need to contact their internal IT department for system admin support to do this.

--On the server Apache Tomcat is installed to: stop the Tomcat service and end any java processes
--Launch Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
--Navigate to your CompuSoft database
If you are not sure which database this is, you can check by logging into the client with admin credentials. From dashboard, navigate to Admin Setup > Server Path. This lists the db location and name.
--Right click the CompuSoft database > "New Query"
--Run the following queries one at a time:

update parameters set boop3 = 0 where boop3 is null
update serverdistribution set sending = 1 where sending is null
update serverdistribution set unfiltered = 0 where unfiltered is null

--Restart the Tomcat service
--Relaunch the browser

For more assistance with scheduler troubleshooting, see our guide to common errors.
If this does not resolve the issue or you have further questions, please contact Support
